What can I say about this series, it's the fucking tits and I love them! The story, the characters, the immersion, the game play, the fans it's just awe inspiring and I'm only hitting the iceberg on why I like this game. Yet in times like these I believe this game is becoming one of those underrated games due to certain issues which I will be talking about today. Now mind you, just because this series has a little bumps and scrapes here and there doesn't mean it's a bad game. Believe me, I got the Elder Scrolls Oblivion game for the PC probably four years ago and to this day I'm still playing it. So without a further a do here's my Rant on the Elder Scrolls series (By the way I will only be covering the last three games; Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim as well as its DLC's and I will most likely fangasm about it)

Now before we begin on the actual rant let's discuss on what exactly is the Elder Scrolls series. Well I'll tell you. The game is based on a small world known as Nirn in a realm known as Mundus where all mortals live. Nirn consists of mostly ocean but has several countries; Akavir, Atmora, Yokuda, Aldmeris, and Tamriel having both Akavir and Tamriel segregated into several countries but for now lets focus on Tamriel. In Tamriel we have the ten major races each having their own country and biome to live in.

There's the Altmer or "High Elves" who are tall yellow eyed elves who lives on a large island known as the Summerset Isle which consists of beaches and other small islands and are most profound in using the magic arts. There's the Argonians who are scaled horned lizard people who lives in the poisonous swamps of Black Marsh in which they have a high resistance to disease and poisons. There's the Bosmer or "Wood Elves" who are cannibalistic yet gracious hunters of the Valenwood Forest and their archery skills are at peak of perfection. The Breton race who are hybrids of both Man and Mer who lives in the mountainous reaches of High Rock and have a good resistance and understanding of magic and combat thus making them the perfect Battlemage.

Then there's the Dunmer or "Dark Elves" who are blue red eyed elves who lives in the ashed volcanic wastelands of Vvardenfell and the slightly fungi forested wastelands of Morrowind who has a great resistance to Fire. There's the Khajiit who are a feline race who lives in the forested jungles and deserts of Elsweyr and are possibly the greatest born thieves of the world. There's the Nords who are honor bound human warriors who will fight with honor and strength in their frozen mountain homeland of Skyrim which grants them near immunity to the cold.

The Orcs or "The Cursed Ones" are once elves who are depictedly known to be tribes people and savage warriors in which they share a home with the Bretons where they call their land Orsinium. Then there's the Redguard who are dark skinned humans who lives in the desert wastelands of Hammerfell and are great in being first infantry in battle. Finally, there's the Imperials who usually takes charge and keeps most of the order with all the races seeing that their home Cyrodiil is dead center of all Tamriel and are known to be orderly and romaistic warriors and fighters.

In the world, there are many legends and tales in which has yet to be fully opened such as the Lost Races which are the Ayleids or "Wild Elves", the Snow Elves or I'd like to call them the Falmer, and the Dwemer or "Deep Elves" in which these three races had major roles in history and mysteriously vanished. There's also the other realm besides the realm they're in which this realm is called Oblivion which consists of various realms each having various powerful beings and a demonic beasts known as the Daedric in which in each realm is ruled by one daedric who is able to defy logic, physics, reality, and all sorts of natural laws are called "The Daedric Princes" who are in Nirn there are some people who worships them as gods such as the Dark Elves.

Now I'll be here all day discussing on what is the Elder Scrolls series so if you look into my description you can see a YouTube links to a video that will help you all fully understand what the Elder Scrolls series are. Now onto the rant.

So as we all know, the Elder Scrolls series have been made by the famous or rather infamous Bethesda Studios who have created other popular Role Playing Games such as Mass Effect and Fallout yet when I say that they're infamous I mean whenever they release a certain game most of the time when it's first released there's ALOT of bugs and glitches in the game. Skyrim was the best example of bad glitches, from giants sending you to the moon, to missing textures, to limbs flying everywhere, and so on. However, Bethesda always fixes these patches up from time to time such as Minecraft.

The next issue I have a problem with is the voice acting. Like I know that for each game there's ALOT of people in the game and you are limited to only a few people but Bethesda write this down, what about your loyal fans? I mean we got people creating all these mods and the best of them are mostly voice recorded and they were awesome. So here's the idea, hows about you invite your most loyal and most well voice talented fans to go and voice out a character or two. Because you dont think that EVERY one of the same race has the same voice do you, especially in a small area such as Oblivion or Vvanderfell or even Skyrim or Solstheim.

Plus in my opinion the Elder Scrolls is like the gold medal for Bethesda, whenever people see a new Mass Effect game people go "Eh whatever I'll buy it." Whenever they release a new Fallout game people go "This is pretty cool." When they release a new chapter of the Elder Scrolls series people be shitting bricks over how excited they are. So with this statement people must really buy into this game and with that more money to spend on for more voice actors for the game, higher quality textures and what not.

But alas, there's one other problem and it's a big one; THE FANS. I know there are some good fans and some of them are great mod makers, some of them are well descent but there are some mod makers that I just refuse to even call them actual mod makers at all! The only mods these little fuckers make is retextures, poorly resolutioned, cheap enchanted crap that I wouldn't use my in game character to take it and rub his ass on it. I wouldn't even click on them because they're so bad.

Not to mention there's even some serious perversion in the game. Now dont get me wrong, I like pornography like the next guy and I see it as a healthy thing a man and a woman can do but to have sex in Skyrim is just down right dumb. I mean there's a mod out there called "Sex Lab" and this mod, my god there's so much into it. For example, if you have the mod activated and you are a woman going through a bandit cave and you're defeated you don't die but you are knocked out where almost every bandit comes in and start to rape the fuck out of you and you will most likely get impregnated, yeah impregnation in Skyrim. What the flying mammoth fuck!?

There's alot of shitty mods out there so be warned when you go to the Nexus site and click on the last page of any search you're in. You'll regret it. Now in game though there's another slight problem with this; Immersion. Now if you are a PC player than this will be of no issue because you lucky bastards have Mods. Console players however has to suffer from this. For example, if you played Morrowind then you know about the DLC for it called "Bloodmoon" where you travel to Solstheim and on your first trip there you go to the market and see what they have for sale. New weapons, not bad.

Now in Skyrim in the DLC "Dragonborn" you once again go to Solstheim and when you go to the market, what do you get? The same weapons but doesnt look nearly like the ones in Morrowind. So there's the thing actually, what people expected is that when they go to Solstheim which the first place you go to is basically Morrowind territory you'd expect Morrowind crafted weapons and armor like the Silver Waraxe or the Morrowind version of the Glass Weaponry. Instead we get the Skyrim versions, now I'm not saying that I like the new remakes of the basic weapons and armors but it would be more interesting that depending on the country the style of the weapon and armor is made.

Also, there's certain other things you can add that can make the game more of a challenging instead of being more of a power house game that everyone presumes for Skyrim. Like Fallout New Vegas they added a feature called "Hardcore Mode" in where one has to drink, eat, and sleep at a daily process or else they will get ill, damaged, wounded easily, and die. They should've done that with Skyrim, and made the lore more better to follow such as the PC Skyrim mod "Requiem" which makes people who arent beast oriented such as those who arent Argonian, Wood Elf, Khajiit, or Orc will suffer dearly if they eat Raw Meat. Another one is that one can be damaged slowly from the freezing cold of Winterhold's water, or make some sort of Winter Climate cloak or something to help survive the snow and stay warm. But what can we do, Console players just have to suffer until they get enough money and understanding to get the PC versions of the game.
